DE PERE FIRE RESCUE & BARK AND BLUE FOUNDATION
On Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the City of De Pere Fire Department,City of De Pere Police Department, Ashwaubenon Public Safety and Brown County Sheriff’sDepartment, in collaboration with the Bark and Blue Foundation is proud to host a Police K-9 meet and greet and Open House at De Pere Fire Station #1, located at 400 Lewis Street.
We will have our entire fleet of fire/rescue vehicles on display, Sparky the fire dog, tours of the fire house, as well as meet and greets with Police K-9 and their handlers. This is a family friendly event; however, we ask that you leave your four-legged friends at home.
In spring 2019, area paramedics began K-9 EMS training to better prepare for K-9 involved incidents. Training costs have been funded, but the equipment needed has not; therefore, six K-9 Tactical EMS Field Kits are vital to supply each of the six ambulances. With the public’s help,we hope to obtain these necessary kits. The cost of one kit is approximately $300.
The Bark and Blue Foundation has stepped forward to help in raising funds to purchase these needed kits. The Foundation is a 501C3 tax deductible organization. Donations can be made at the event or barknblue.org. Please make all checks payable to Bark and Blue Foundation.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact De Pere Fire Rescue at (920) 339-4091 or check us out on Facebook.
