New Member Spotlight: Orthopedic Alternatives

Orthopedic Alternatives is now providing medical acupuncture services in the De Pere and surrounding areas.  Licensed acupuncturist Elizabeth Eberius, MAcOM, LAc., a graduate of West De Pere High School, has recently returned to the area and formed Orthopedic Alternatives.

Elizabeth Eberius graduated twice from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay, majoring in Business Administration and Human Biology with an emphasis on Health Science.  She received a Masters of Oriental Medicine degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed in the state of Wisconsin.

Upon graduation, Elizabeth Eberius volunteered for 4 months as a primary care provider and acupuncturist in rural Nepal through the Acupuncture Relief Project.  Overseeing a variety of patients, she managed cases from chronic pain and paralysis to infectious diseases.  “I don’t just focus on treatment.  Rather, I take on the role of an investigator, seeking to understand each case individually in order to provide the best medical intervention and advice.”

Acupuncture has changed over the years. Today it is much different from the ancient form and also much safer. The World Health Organization lists diseases that respond well to acupuncture. These include many conditions such as pain, depression, anxiety, migraines, fatigue, insomnia, women’s health issues, and digestive concerns. More health insurance plans are covering acupuncture to treat a number of symptoms.

As an athlete and health enthusiast, Elizabeth Eberius specializes in sports medicine, treating neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, and helping others maintain their bodies for overall wellness.

When not treating patients, Elizabeth Eberius enjoys playing soccer and outdoor adventures such as running, hiking, and biking.  She is an amateur photographer and has traveled to 22 different countries.

Orthopedic Alternatives is currently accepting new patients. Appointments are available Monday through Saturday and can be scheduled online by visiting For more information contact Elizabeth Eberius at or by calling 920-412-7001.
