New Member Spotlight: Window Genie

Window Genie announces the grand opening of its newest location in Green Bay. Local U.S. Army Veteran Dwight Weber and his wife Sarah are the owners. Window Genie is a national home service franchise specializing in residential and light commercial window cleaning, window tinting, pressure washing, gutter cleaning and more. Window Genie will service Green Bay, Door County and the Lakeshore.

Before purchasing a Window Genie franchise, Dwight Weber served as a transportation officer in the U.S. Army before making a 25-year career in the transportation industry in a variety of roles including VP of Sales for a major national truck load carrier. “I came to a point in my career where in order to gain more responsibility, accountability, and a bigger paycheck, I’d be required to move. That wasn’t an option,” Weber said. “My wife and I took it as a sign to finally seriously consider an alternate path, and we began to entertain my dream of becoming a business owner.”

In early 2017, Dwight and Sarah began their search. It wasn’t long until Dwight was contacted by Dan Glaser of Dwyer Group, a Waco-based franchise holding company that purchased Window Genie in 2016. “I was told I appeared to be a good candidate for business ownership and asked whether I’d ever considered it. I thought ‘well this has to mean something,’ so we listened.” After working with Glaser to determine what Dwight’s strengths, weaknesses, interests and goals were, they decided to explore the Window Genie concept more deeply.

Dwight said, “Not only did the business model make sense in this market, but the company was a cultural fit for us; our values are very aligned in how we’d like to do business and treat the customer. In the 11th hour of making this decision I was offered a job, but I declined it. We’re sure we’ve made the right choice, and I’m not willing to look back in 10 years and wish I’d taken this chance. We’re ready for the challenge.”

Window Genie of Green Bay is officially open for business and taking appointments for an anticipated busy spring cleaning season. All estimates are free, and field technicians are fully trained, insured, bonded and have passed a background check.
