The De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes Wrightstown Spirit as our New Member Spotlight! Wrightstown Spirit is a community newspaper covering not only the Wrightstown area, but also extending out to De Pere, Greenleaf, Morrison, Hollandtown, Lawrence, Ledgeview and rural Kaukauna. We had the opportunity to talk to Leah Olson from Wrightstown Spirit about business in De Pere!
Leah tells us that Wrightstown Spirit is a partner of Times-Villager, their big brother newspaper based in the Kaukauna and Little Chute areas. Wrightstown Spirit has 5,000 subscribers and counting as they continue to grow. The free community paper originally started in 2004 with a focus on the local school districts, sports, and what the kids were up to, Leah says. From there, the business expanded to small businesses, news and other content and locations.
“You can do it all in De Pere!”
When we asked Leah what makes De Pere different she tells us the small community is unique and has so much to offer, especially the relationship between businesses in the community.
“Everyone wants to help everyone…”
Leah enjoys De Pere events like the farmer’s market and trolley. She says it has given her the opportunity to meet so many people. You can reach Leah Olson at Wrightstown Spirit, 920-609-0123.
