The Mulva Cultural Center opened in December 2023 on Broadway in downtown De Pere: 75,000 square feet where history, culture, and the arts meet — with viewing decks looking out over the Fox River, its lock, and its dams.
The Center is the gift of James J. and Miriam B. Mulva — De Pere natives — designed by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and managed by the De Pere Cultural Foundation. Inside: rotating exhibition galleries, performance spaces, and a café, all a short walk from downtown's shops and restaurants.
For the chamber, the Center is what community investment looks like at full scale — a $100 million landmark that gives residents and visitors one more reason to spend a day downtown, and gives every business around it more foot traffic to welcome.

At 221 S. Broadway, Mulva Cultural Center sits in the heart of historic downtown De Pere, overlooking the bend of the Fox River. Its viewing decks frame the locks, dam and riverfront that shaped the city long before the Center arrived.
