About this policy
Who we are and what this covers
The De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) membership organization located at 1120 Employers Blvd, Suite #335, De Pere, WI 54115. We serve 290+ member businesses and the broader De Pere community. This policy explains how we handle information collected through deperechamber.org and its associated tools.
This policy covers:
- Information you submit through contact forms and newsletter signups on this website
- Information collected automatically through Google Analytics and Google Search Console (via Site Kit)
- Information handled through our member platform, MC Trade / WebLink Connect
- Information associated with event registration
- Cookies placed by this site and embedded third-party services
This policy does not cover donation processing for the De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation (DPACCF). Foundation donation links are currently disabled. Once enabled, Foundation data handling will be addressed in a separate notice or an amendment here.
Last reviewed: 2026. We review this policy at least annually and will post any material changes on this page with an updated review date.

What information we collect
We collect information in three ways: things you give us directly, things our tools record automatically, and things our member platform manages.
Information you submit directly
When you fill out a contact form, sign up for our newsletter, or express interest in membership or events on this website, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (if you provide it)
- Your message or inquiry
- Business name and role (if relevant to the inquiry)
Our contact forms include a hidden honeypot field and a timestamp to block automated spam. These are never stored or used for any purpose other than spam prevention.
Information collected automatically
When you visit deperechamber.org, Google Analytics (connected via the Google Site Kit plugin) automatically records:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Approximate geographic location (city/region level — not your street address)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- How you arrived at our site (search engine, social media, direct link, etc.)
- Clicks on buttons and links (if event tracking is active)
Google Search Console records which search queries brought visitors to our pages. This data is aggregated — it does not identify you individually.
This analytics data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy. We use it to understand which community content people find most useful and to improve the site.
Information managed by our member platform
Membership applications, event registrations, job postings, and directory listings are processed through MC Trade / WebLink Connect at connect.deperechamber.org. That platform operates under MC Trade's own privacy policy. When you transact there, MC Trade's terms govern the data you submit.

How we use your information
We use information for chamber business only. We do not sell it, trade it, or share it with advertisers.
Responding to you
Your direct inquiries
When you contact us through the website, we use your name, email, and message to respond. The chamber typically replies within one business day.
Keeping you informed
Newsletter and communications
If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address to send chamber news, event announcements, and community updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Running events
Event registration
Registration information is used to confirm your spot, send event reminders and updates, and — where applicable — connect you with other attendees or sponsors you have asked to meet.
Improving the site
Analytics and site performance
Aggregated analytics data tells us which pages are most useful, where people drop off, and what community content to prioritize. It does not identify you as an individual.
Working with providers
Member outreach and support
The chamber works with a small number of outside providers for member outreach and renewals, communications, and event support. Where that work requires it, they receive the contact information needed to carry it out, and use it only for chamber purposes.
We will never sell your personal information, and we will never share it with advertisers. Apart from the service providers described on this page, we will not use your information for anything beyond the purposes listed here — and if that ever changes, we will update this policy and tell you directly.

Third-party platforms we use
Some features on this site involve third-party services. Here is what each one does and where to find their privacy policies.
Google Analytics & Search Console (via Site Kit)
Records anonymized site-usage data — page views, traffic sources, device types, and approximate location. Data is processed on Google's servers. IP anonymization is enabled. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
MC Trade / WebLink Connect (member platform)
Membership applications, renewals, event registration, the member directory, and job postings are handled at connect.deperechamber.org — a separate platform operated by MC Trade. Data you enter there is governed by MC Trade's privacy policy, not this one.
Service providers who support the chamber
The chamber works with a small number of outside providers for member outreach and renewals, communications, and event support. Where that work requires it, they receive member or subscriber contact details — name, business, email, and phone — and use them only for chamber purposes. We do not provide member information to advertisers. If you would like to know which providers currently hold your information, ask us and we will tell you.
Google Maps embed
Some pages on this site embed a Google Map to show our location or event venues. When the map loads, Google may place cookies and record your IP address. This is governed by Google's privacy policy. If you prefer not to load the map, you can find us at 1120 Employers Blvd, Suite #335, De Pere, WI 54115.
We link to the chamber's Facebook page from this site. If you click through, Facebook's own data collection practices apply. We do not embed Facebook tracking pixels on this site.

Site function cookies
WordPress sets a small number of cookies to manage sessions and maintain site security (for example, keeping you logged in to the member area). These are necessary for the site to work and cannot be disabled without breaking core features.
Analytics
Google Analytics cookies
Google Analytics places cookies (typically named _ga, _gid, and _gat) to distinguish unique visitors and track session data. These cookies do not personally identify you. They expire after 2 years (_ga) or 24 hours (_gid). You can block them using the Google opt-out add-on or your browser's privacy settings.
Third-party
Embedded content cookies
If this site embeds a Google Map or links to external platforms, those services may set their own cookies when you interact with them. We do not control those cookies. Refer to the third-party privacy policies listed in Section 3.
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect how some parts of this site work. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because no consistent industry standard for them exists.

How long we keep data — and your rights
You have the right to know what we hold, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Here are the straightforward answers.
How long does the De Pere Area Chamber keep my contact form data?
The De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce retains contact form submissions for as long as the inquiry is active plus a reasonable follow-up period — typically no longer than two years from the date of submission, unless an ongoing business relationship requires it. If you submitted a form and would like your information removed, email info@deperechamber.org and we will delete it promptly.
How long does the chamber keep newsletter subscriber data?
Newsletter subscriber records are kept for as long as you remain subscribed. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe, we remove your address from the active mailing list promptly. If you want confirmation of removal, contact us at info@deperechamber.org.
Can I request a copy of the information the chamber holds about me?
Yes. Email info@deperechamber.org with "Privacy Request" in the subject line and describe what you are looking for. We'll respond, typically within one business day, and provide what we hold within a reasonable timeframe. Note: data held by MC Trade / WebLink Connect or Google Analytics must be requested directly from those platforms — we do not have full administrative access to raw analytics data at the individual level.
Can I ask the chamber to correct or delete my information?
Yes. If any information we hold about you is incorrect, or if you want it deleted, contact us at info@deperechamber.org. We will correct or delete it — subject to any legal obligations that require us to keep certain records (for example, financial records related to membership dues). We will tell you clearly if a legal requirement prevents full deletion.
Does the chamber sell or share my personal information with third parties?
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share your data with advertisers. We do share information with service providers who help the chamber operate — our web host and the Site Kit plugin connecting Google Analytics, and providers who assist with member outreach and renewals, communications, and event support. They receive only what that work requires, use it only for chamber purposes, and are bound by their own privacy commitments. We may disclose information if required by law. If you would like to know which providers currently hold your information, email info@deperechamber.org and we will tell you.
What data does the chamber's member platform hold, and how do I access it?
Member records, directory listings, event registration history, and job postings submitted through MC Trade / WebLink Connect at connect.deperechamber.org are managed by that platform. To access, correct, or delete data held there, log in to your member account or contact us at info@deperechamber.org and we will assist with the request. Full platform-level data deletion may require MC Trade's involvement, and we will coordinate that on your behalf.

Security
This website is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are transmitted securely. We take reasonable precautions to protect information we hold against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
No website is 100% secure. If you believe a security issue has affected your information, contact us immediately at info@deperechamber.org or (920) 334-6500.
Section 7
Children's privacy
This website is directed at adults — primarily business owners, community members, and visitors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us at info@deperechamber.org and we will delete it promptly.
Section 8
Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and whenever our practices change in a meaningful way. If we make a material change — such as adding a new data collection method, a new third-party integration, or a new use of your information — we will update the "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page.
For significant changes, we may also send a notice to newsletter subscribers or post an announcement on the site. The most current version of this policy always lives at deperechamber.org/privacy-policy/.
Continuing to use this site after a change is posted means you accept the updated terms. If you have questions about any change, reach out — we are a small staff and we'll answer.
